VIVAT NV (VIVAT) announces today that, by mutual agreement, Chief Executive Officer Ron van Oijen resigns from his position effective January 31, 2020. Pending the appointment of a new Chairman of the Executive Board, Maarten Dijkshoorn will be the Supervisory Board member delegate during this interim period.

I’d like to thank him personally, and on behalf of the Supervisory Board, for his contributions to VIVAT and wish him success in the future.”

The announced change of ownership feels like a natural moment for me to leave the company. VIVAT is now in a solid financial position and well prepared for the future thanks to all dedicated colleagues. I am confident that VIVAT, under its new shareholder, will become an even stronger player within the Dutch insurance market.”
The closing of the acquisition of VIVAT by Athora is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2020, subject to DNB approval.
